Koushik Chatterjee

Hi, and welcome to my website!

I’m a postdoctoral fellow at the Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics at the University of Toronto. Using relativistic simulations, my research follows matter and magnetic fields around black holes and neutron stars and connects their dynamics to the signals astronomers observe.

Outside of research, I enjoy reading, gaming, and traveling. A recent trip to Gatineau was especially wonderful in the fall. I’m also a fan of the world of The Lord of the Rings, the books of the legendarium, movies and games (yes, even the Shadow of Mordor series, but I enjoy LOTRO more).
